What does this say about our society?
I think it's a combination of cheapness, location, and today's fast-paced eating habits, which go with our fast-paced lifestyle (I'm only talking about America - I don't know about other countries, except McDonalds is probably doing better overseas as well, with offerings tailored to local cuisine, like falafel). The Golden Arches is cheap, which appeals to working-class and poor people, as well as to everybody in this economy. They're also EVERYWHERE. Also, people don't seem to go out to eat at sit-down restaurants like they used to. Everyone's so busy, and a lot of people work more than one job, and we just don't have the time anymore. I'm not an expert on these things at all, but this is my opinion.
