What should I wear to my 8th grade graduation ceremony?

My school didn't tell us what to wear to the ceremony and one of my friends in HS told me that they won't. I talked to other people and they said that some people wore suits, others wore a shirt and tie, and others wore shorts and a tee-shirt or jeans. After the ceremony me and my family and my friend's family are going out to eat at Long Horn Steakhouse.
