Outback Steakhouse Menu Test, Legit or Just to get you to know menu?

I recently just had 2 days of training at outback steakhouse, then the manager said next time i come in would be to take the menu test, and i HAVE to pass it to continue, does that mean that if i fail it i dont work anymore, because some people there said that people have taken it like 5 times its just to see u know the menu to move up as a host or server. I am currently just a busser and i would like to keep this job however, i would take the test but i know for a fact i wont be able to memorize this whole menu. can someone who works there help me out i would really like to stay there some people said because there is a new owner policies have changed. Ok well would be nice if i could get some answers thanks.
